Buenaventura Marina

We are located in Buenaventura Marina Resort, Rio Hato about a 1:30 hours drive from Panama City. We fish world-famous fishing grounds such as Pearld Islands, Pedasi, Isla Otoque and Isla Iguana. Panama is a world-class fishing destination because of its variety of deep sea fishing spots and the Bay of Panama happens to be one the best places for it. We also offer other adventure packages such as 2 and 3 day trips to Pedasi or the Pearl Islans.
Pearl Island

The Pearl Islands of Panama is an archipelago that covers around 250 small islands of which most are uninhabited. The locals call the islands Islas de las Perlas, a name that dates back from Spanish colonial times. The Spanish Conquistadors discovered the islands in 1503 and gave the Islands its name due to the great amounts of pearls found on them.
The biggest island is Isla Del Ray by far but Contadora Island is the most notable for tourist, it offers great resorts, hotels and an Airport. Another noteworthy island is Isla Saboga, you can find traditional Island culture here.
The Pearl Islands are most famous for their spectacular white sand deserted beaches, scuba diving, marine life (whale watching) and delicate ecosystems. Panamanian law to preserve the life on the islands protects the islands flora and fauna. The Pearl Islands are located in the North Pacific Ocean in the Gulf of Panama. A trip to the Islands is not that far from mainland Panama.
Playa Venao

Playa Venao, the jungle meets the ocean in Playa Venao, a picturesque town located on the Pacific coastline of the Azuero Peninsula. This scenic destination boasts black sand beaches, world-class surfing and a distinct lack of crowds. Playa Venao is relatively undeveloped, which means you’ll get a peaceful, laid-back experience. That said, the area is growing thanks to the incredible surf and beaches. You can expect to find a few boutique hotels, surf lodges, some opportunities to camp on the beach, and a few options for restaurants and shopping.
Isla Farallón

Isla Farallon is a tiny island, home to pelicans and other seabirds. It is just off the southern coast of Panama and only a 15 minute boat ride from Buenaventura
Isla Iguana
Isla iguana This 136-acre (55-hectare) reserve is surrounded by the oldest coral reef in the Gulf of Panama. The reef here is 500 years old and extends some 37 acres (15 hectares), making one of Panama’s biggest. It is home to 12 types of coral and over 200 species of fish. For this reason, it is popular with snorkelers. Cycles of El Niño have damaged some parts of the reef, but it is still an enjoyable place to paddle around and look for fish.
The waters off Playa El Cirial, a long, white-sand beach on the western side of the island, have some of the best snorkeling. The beach here is pleasant, but sometimes is strewn with trash that washes up from ocean currents. Scuba divers generally dive off the north end of the island, where they have the chance of spotting octopus, moray eels, and schools of fish. Humpback whales sometimes migrate through the nearby waters from June to November.
